Remodels
Most of the homes and condominiums around the Tahoe area were built during the '70s and '80s, often as summer only vacation homes. It is common to find minimal insulation in the walls, ungrounded or aluminum wiring, breaker panels that lost their UL listing due to causing fires in homes, sagging beams from snow loads and water intrusion. That's not to mention the lack of daylighting and general brown and dated styling of the interiors. Remodeling is essentially a way to recycle a home by adding life and value to it and is a faster and more economical process than building new.
